Characteristics of our Premium Quality Guadua

To achieve highest quality of our Guadua, we care for it through the whole production process from forest management to shipping of the final product. Our Premium Guadua comes from stands between 1400 and 1500 m above sea level, where the finest guadua grows. Their physical strength makes this poles ideal for construction purposes. Cutting is strictly controlled by the local environmental authority and our excellent and sustainable forest management is internationally certificated.

Only the best Guadua poles are selected to be of Premium Quality. After cutting by experienced workers during the wane of the moon and before sunrise, the poles are cured during 15 to 20 days. After this culm-curing, the selected poles are transported by man power out of the stands to the preservation plant.

After hand-washing and pre-drying, the culms are soaked during fife days in a boron-salt aqueous solution with a guaranteed salt concentration. To avoid internal tensions within the poles, the following drying process is made exclusively by air during at least three month.

All these steps are made by highly qualified and experienced personal which guarantee highest quality standards.

We care for the sustainability and for a fair trade.
